Black Hills South Dakota archey buck.

I go to South Dakota every year to archery hunt with my Dad. It’s more of a hang out with Dad trip but I do usually get my deer as does he. I treasure every minute of it. He is in his mid 70's and still huntin, I sure hope I am too! We have hunted the same area for over 20 years so we know it...

New Mexico unit 16D

Made a mad dash up to the unit Friday. Left Phoenix at 2:45am and got to Reserve NM at 8:15 az time. Spent the day and the next morning looking around. It's definately a different unit that what i am used too up in NM unit 52 but I will figure it out. Below is a poor pic of one of 13 bulls I...

New Mexico unit 16D

Looking for any input on the above unit. I drew an early archery tag and have not hunted this unit. I usually hunt NM unit 52 and have done well but we decided to put in for a unit with a better oppurtunity for bigger bulls. I plan to make at least a couple scouting trips and have all the TOPO's...

Elk Mount...

Ok here is an idea. Ignore my poor attempt at getting rid of the ass end... Also I know you said you don't like a bugling pose but this is just cool! Like what was said earlier I think you have to hide the back part in apsens or some type of folege, Also mabey a small aspen in the fore ground...

Searching for a Gila Monster

I also drew for the Gila, unit 16D early season. Looking forward to it for sure. I usually hunt unit 52 and do well, this will be a first for 16D

Co. deer hunt

Up above Gypson there are lots of really nice bucks. Talk to the wildlife manager for that area and he should be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck

PLANNING for Hunting

I usually put in for New Mexico (draw)or colorado (over the counter)for my elk hunt and go to South Dakota for my deer hunts. I start planning for the elk hunt in April and dont have to do much for the SD hunt. The SD hunt is a given, the deer are there I just have to get my gear together...
