I agree with previous comments about the steripen. It does take quite a while to sterilize large amounts of water and the batteries suffer regularly, especially with the cold mornings and evenings during the hunting season. I also use the katadyn filter and it is simple, fast and safe.
I have the zoleo. When you plan to be in areas with no cell service, I'd recommend to up your message plan as the basic plan of 50 messages runs out very fast.

I updated to the Tricer AD carbon tripod with the Tricer lp pan head. I can't say enough good things about this setup. it is super lightweight, durable and easy to use.
I use the Katadyn filters attached to a hydrapak and then I squeeze the water into a 1.5L water bottle. It is a simple and quick solution. I have tried other systems such as grayl, uv pen, etc but so far I am most pleased with the simplicity and efficiency of the Katadyn system.
