    Ok which spotting scope

I'll chime in that I have the Meopta 80 HD and the glass is impressive. A buddy has the MeoStar S2 82 angled and it is truly impressive and even more so when you look up the price. I also just got a MeoPix adapter so I can attach my phone to the spotter for photos.

Fixed power scopes 6x end of an era?

I have the Meopta R2 8x56 and it is a beast of a scope. Great in any conditions and low light is where it really shines, literally! There is also a R1 in 7x56 that can also be had with a Red Dot. Meopta is known for its European glass for a reason.

    Which is the better glass?

It's all subjective, but I think you would be surprised by how many high-end binos/spotters that Meopta supplies the glass too. I can't imagine them supplying better glass to a competitor then the use in their own products. Buy what you think will work the best for your needs and eyes is what I...

    Maven

I have the Meopta MeoStar 10x42 and my buddies after using mine now have 10x50 and 12x50's. Of course, now I want the 12x50's. The glass is amazing and for half the price of many other Euro binos.

    Which is the better glass?

When it comes to bino glass you will be hard-pressed to beat Meopta's MeoStar's. My buddy has a Swar. SLC and used my MeoStar 10x42's one day while we were driving around. Now he owns the MeoStar B1's in 10 and 12x50. To my knowledge, the Swaro's are sitting in the back of his safe. He was...

    Spotter Talk

You are already spoiled with your MeoStar binos, no use rocking the boat, and not getting a Meopta Spotter. I have the MeoPro and couldn't be happier. It is full-sized and I'm not sure I would want to be going up and down mountains with it, but maybe if I had it I wouldn't be doing so much hiking?

    Best scope for $600-$700?

Nikon's M-Tactical scope is very nice. MONARCH glass, 30mm tube, MOA/MRAD or BDC reticle choices. As the rifle is so aptly named, Hells Canyon ( I used to hunt that area exclusively in the 70' and 80's) perhaps you would prefer capped turrets? For hunting I think it's tough to beat Nikon's...

    Best scope for $600-$700?

I will be interested in hearing what sort of accuracy you get out of your rifle. It is definitely built to reach out a lojng ways so great to see that you are looking for an optic to optimize the rifle. Are you going to shoot factory ammo or reload your own? I see 100 gr. projectiles running...

    Best scope for $600-$700?

Nikon BLACK FX1000 Being the owner of 2 Nikon BLACK FX1000 scopes I can assure you it will get the job done. Excellent glass, accuracy, consistancy and look at the size of the company that stands behind this product. Win win. Do yourself a favor and look at one so you can make the right choice.

    $300 Rilfe Scopes

A scope that will fit your needs very well is Nikon's M-Tactical 3-12x42 MOA/MRAd reticle. This scope has a 30mm tube and MONARCH glass and zero reset turrets in case you want to dial in your shots too and all for sub $400. I have 2 on order for .308 AR's, should be big fun.

    Scope tube ding/knick?

Enjoy! You had me at 74 Deg! We are 108 right now in N. TX. Time for a vacation!

    Scope tube ding/knick?

Nikon scope scrape I can't imagine that a little scrape will affect the scope function at all. At the very least if the function is affected Nikon will stand behind the scope with their No Fault Warranty. You absolutely can use a P-223 scope with any cal. you choose. Just go to Spot On and...

    Nikon bino's

The PROSTAFF 7S bino's are under a Nikon Promo right now too. I have used a pair of the PROSTAFF 7 bino's for three years now, and they work great. Glass coating's give very clear images, and they are tough as heck. If you can get $50 off, I say go for it, that is a better price then the promo...

What has happened to Nikon ?

Muley, Sorry to hear you had an issue with Nikon's CS some years ago. While to little to late, I assure you Nikon has reworked their CS department and things are better. Their new,No Fault Policy is tough to beat. Run over your scope, drop your Bino's from a tree and they are still covered...

Scope help. Vortex viper vs. Nikon prostaff 5?

E., I have used Nikon's PROSTAFF 5 4.5-14 BDC scope. I do freelance PR/Shooting Event's for Nikon so I get a lot of opportunities to try out new products and put rounds under them. Not just by myself but with different groups I work with at the range as well as Nikons large shooting event's of...
