Late Season Idaho Deer
Got lucky and pulled a late rifle buck tag in Southern Idaho. I chased rutting bucks all over the unit but couldn't find the big one until the 2nd to last day. He escaped so I shot his buddy. He's 4x4, 27 1/2" wide. -
Idaho Youth Elk Hunt
I live in Unit 52. The wife drew a November cow tag in 52 a couple a years ago. She didn't fill her tag but it wasn't because there where no elk. Plan on getting cold and wind blown. Take a 4-wheeler and a map. You can get lost, snowed in, or stuck in the mud on just about any day in November... -
Idaho allows hunters to kill two bulls and two bucks a year why in the #%& is that ok
I buy two deer tags some years so I can hunt a muley and a whitetail in the same year. Like the others said, it offers more opportunities for us in Idaho without having to buy points for 5 years in another state to get a shot at filling the freezer. -
Wyoming 90-1 or 90-2?
We made it for the opener. Lots of action and lots of antelope. They were pretty spooky, it was not easy to get within even a mile of them. But I did make a good stalk a really big buck. I got with 140yds and was setting up to make a shot and just my luck, a herd of wild horses come running over... -

Bear meat
I haven't had any luck with a good bear steak but grind it up with a big pork shoulder and make summer sauage. It's real good.- Beerman

Tent Stakes
I took fencing t-posts and cut them in half at a 45 angle. Pound them in at a steep angle they work great. They are heavy and dangerous, but only when your drunk in the dark trying to find the tent door.- Beerman

Baerman, Anything that uses a 209 primer is illegal in Idaho. No scopes, no pelletized powders, and no sabots are allowed. It must also be equipped with an exposed cap when the rifle is cocked and ready to fire. So it basically needs a hammer. And bullets have to all lead conical or round. Look...- Beerman

Wife's First Idaho Buck
