If I knew that DB I would have a lot more racks in the garage. I am just getting started with calling, never used them growing up. Once, or if, I figure out the right combo of calls I will share.
Since it is that time of the year here is a recipe you will like. You can also cook it in a pressure cooker, I do when i am out in the field.
Green Chile
Start with 2 lbs of lean game - I used elk this batch - a big can of diced tomato's, a big can of whole chili's that I dice in 1/4" thick...
I usually have my wife bake up a dz or so big, fluffy Bisquick biscuits and take them in the field. I have pelnty of sausage & am good at gravy but getting them 3 - 4 inch tall fluffy biscuits kicks my butt out camping. And biscuits & gravy just ain't the same with the canned biscuits.
Be careful on the unfinished bows. A few years back we had a Hunter Ed Instructor workshop where we finished longbows, paid $90 for them and they needed a little tiller work, sanding, smoothing and the like. I shot mine for 9 months then it blew up in my face, have heard that 3 others blew up...
I like Slick Tricks and if I can't get them then I buy Wac Em's. The ST's come first because they are a little cheaper. Both are very forgiving heads and sharpen up real nice. I won't buy a BH that I can't sharpen.

Couple of things -
1. Is it the right draw length for you? If you don't know have your draw length checked at a pro-shop then make sure the bow is set for you.
2. Once you have draw length determined that gives you your arrow length.
3. Draw weight & arrow length determine the correct spine...
If they run down their hole and you take a piece of barbed wire and stick it down the hole and twist it round and round till it twists up in their fur - they are very, very mad when you pull them out.
My wife just got me a goodie for my b-day. We were taking our girls through Cabela's and stopped in the Bargain Cave. How does a 1.5 hp with all attachments for $201.99 sound? Couldn't walk away without it. The box was damaged in shipping, the protective strap over the hopper is busted off...
