Anybody killed grizz ?

Took one in Oct of 95 with a Ruger #1 in 416 Rigby. I am just now getting ready for a float archery hunt for this fall for another one.

    Alaska hunting at it's finest

Moosie the bulls have all lost their antlers by this time of year. The reason for the long shooting is because they are very spooky this time of year. By now they have seen more snowmobiles than Polaris can maunfacture in a year. There are bulls in the herd, but them young ones make better...

These are of a recent weekend of caribou hunting. The wolf was taken last Sunday while looking for caribou.

    pet peeves!

Idiots that call cartridges calibers. Ask someone what their favorite caliber is and they respond 280 Remington. Well 280 Remington is a cartridge, not a caliber. 7mm Mag is a cartridge, not a caliber. Tell me what cartridge you are shooting and I'll know what caliber it is.

    non resident hunting

Sorry, but your wife's cousin doesn't qualify. You will be required to sign an Affidavit stating that she is your sister. Let them find out differently, and they have their ways of finding out, and it could get very expensive for all involved. The State of Alaska will be harder on ya for...

    Opinions please.......

For those that believe the In-line muzzle loader is an invention of this generation, think again. The French had In-line muzzle loaders in 1813. That's even before the percussion cap rifles. [ 12-19-2001 01:40: Message edited by: AlleninAlaska ]

    Caribou

2002 sounds like fun. I have no idea what it cost to fly from California to any part of Alaska. I do know that Alaska Airlines flies out of San Fran and Oakland. Charter for a Beaver would probably run about $900 per trip. 4 people could go in in 1 trip possibly. 2 or 3 trips to get everybody...

    Caribou

For about $1000 each with 4 people you could do a fly-in for Caribou for about 7-10 days. 2 Bull limit. And it would be on the infamous Mulchatna Herd. :D :D :D

    Caribou

Yep, been there and done that. Will be doing it again this year. Gets a little tiresome after a while. All them majestic bulls. Ugliest darn thing in the world, a bull Caribou with velvet hanging from all directions of his antlers. And they are just about this goofy looking

    Whats this boat worth ?

My dealer says it was Suzuki and Bombaier (SP) parent company od SkiDoo snomachines were wheeling and dealing over OMC and that Bombaier was the lucky company. The banks won't let this one go under. Too much of a world wide market. Suzuki is the company making 4 stroke powerheads for OMC...

    Whats this boat worth ?

I will have to disagree with Yooper on one thing. Ant that is the difference in fuel efficiency between 4 and 2 stroke outboards. The newer 2 stroke models are just as fuel effieient as 4 stroke versions. I have an Evinrude 150 FFI Ramcharger on my 22' Wooldridge and with 3 people, hunting gear...
