    New Mexico Sabinoso Wilderness Area

There are definitely antelope in 42 but probably not in the Sabinoso. I’d be on the state lands on the plains

Mystery Ranch Pintler Bag Only Coyote

Howdy folks, Got a brand new tags still on MR Pintler bag I bought last year intending to swap it on my frame for smaller loads and day trips. But then changed my mind and bought a PopUp for the same purpose. I’ll never swap bags on my frame so I should just sell this here. Bag only in coyote...

Friend bailed on our upcoming New Mexico mule deer trip

The scariest experiences are always skunks or raccoons or shadows or imagination Enjoy the solo hunts. It’s safer in pairs. It’s more liberating solo. Get an InReach and go out alone.

    Duplex reticle users

My VXI scopes have a post at 4 moa i tend to dial for a point blank range out to 250-300 yds depending on caliber and species. Then I figure out where my 4 moa reticle post hits, usually around 400 yards ish. That and some practice should take care of 99% of hunting shots.

    Explain New Mexico please...

PS CO def has a point system. Preference points. You can draw with zero points for many species in certain units. And there are OTC opportunities as well.

    Explain New Mexico please...

You pay up front (CC) and get a refund if you don’t draw. License and fees are not refunded. You will know your bottom line at checkout. License + Tag + Habitat Stamp + Application Fee should be good.

How to cook grouse during fire ban?

I’m a simple man. Salt it. Light a fire. Grill it carefully over coals. Don’t overcook it. if you really wanna get fancy, crisp up some bacon and fry up flour dusted strips or nuggets in bacon fat

    30mm vs 1-inch tubes

There are definitely adjustable parallax 1” scopes. But they generally aren’t really necessary until you get to very high magnification 14-15x+ Scopes for hitting eggs at 300 yards are different than scopes to hit an elk Or Muley at 300 yards.

    30mm vs 1-inch tubes

Exactly. This is a problem for us hunters.

    30mm vs 1-inch tubes

Say no to 30mm tubes Tube size is irrelevant for a hunter. You aren’t dialing 10 mils or 30 moa of dope. So why add weight and bulk??? if we don’t keep up demand for 1” tubes the options will dwindle. for example, the VAST majority of vortex offerings are no 30mm. And I’m guessing probably 5%...

    Leupold vx freedom

The biggest difference is in the low light coatings. I think VX3i will be noticeably brighter at dawn and dusk. So if you’re mostly daylight shooting, I think the VX Freedom should be fine. For hunting, maybe consider upgrading. 30mm tubes and now 34mm tubes are ruining sport optics for the...
