Other ideas to fill the freezer?
The hunt is from the Vacation budget. Cut & wrap is from the Grocery Budget. All food generated from recreational activities is a bonus.- 2rocky

Other ideas to fill the freezer?
Is the focus primarily on filling the Freezer with the most cost efficient protein, or having a hunt that has a high probability of success and good meat yield? I'm going to assume the latter..... Option 1- Outfitter private land cow elk tag... Hotel hunt. $2850-$3000 plus travel and food...- 2rocky

Heat source options for tent camping.
I'm in the Woodstove/Little Buddy camp. LB is turned on from bed and in 15 minutes the floor isn't so cold. but the woodstove keeps your water jug from freezing and heats up quick and could run you out if left wide open.... Our USFS lands are full of deadfall and you can gather wood just...- 2rocky

DIY trailer conversions
I think I'm going to copy the system I saw part for part to learn the process. Then i can upgrade parts as I find my needs exceed the capacity of the unit. This could lead to a battery backup for my Home Well and electric fence.- 2rocky

DIY trailer conversions
Progress is slow. I found a DC power cord (12V power outlet) for my CPAP so that can simplify that part. Considering building a cabinet in the tack room to hold batteries versus mounting them outside under the gooseneck. This should reduce Cold Stress on batteries too. Still thinking LiFePO4...- 2rocky

Rebuilding a rig instead of buying new
