Do you practice your calling techniques year round?

I usually try to pratice at least twice a
month to keep in pratice.

Rule #1 I pratice only when the wife is out of the house.

I put the calls away after the season and don't get them out again and start fooling with them until February. Right up until Jan. 31 I'm busy upland bird hunting. Soon as I put away the bird hunting gear I get out the calls.

Hey! I have a box call along with a cow elk call in my truck .

Seems like the kids like to use them to pass the time.

Every morning on the way to the babysitters and also on the way home I get a lesson or two.

Miranda who is three is getting quite good with the box call and can drive me nuts with the cow call.

Dakota on the other hand,is only 17 months and can make a noise with the box call sometimes and hardly ever can get the cow call to work. Something I am very thankful for right now.
