WTF ? the System is like $400 off the shelf and $50 a game.... Ebay has them as much as $3,000 !!! Most are Averaging around the $800 clam mark. WTF ?!?!?

So, Soes anyone here have one ?

My little brother reserved one and bought it the day it came out. I've watched him play it a couple times. If you're into video games it is definitely the latest and greatest...but I'd still ebay the sucker.

For 4 hundred bucks off the shelf, and 50 bucks a game I wouldn't have one jammed in my a## if I had room for the factory( which I don't thanks to Jazzersice ) When they were comming out we had people lined up for about 24 hours just to buy it at the Wal-Mart..WTF ITS JUST A DAMN GAME PEOPLE...

Maybe I'm just too redneck,,I just don't get it

Hee hee, just looked at them on ebay last night for the entertainment value alone This decade's cabbage patch kid?

We have the old Xbox but I never touch it. The thing makes me ill just to look at and by ill I mean carsick like. I've seen the new one and the graphics rock but personally I could care less. Thankfully my son hasn't started frothing at the mouth yet for it.

Well I'm a BIG gamer...when I get the chance.... and I like playing games. Hell I've stayed up all night playing vid games over at my Wifes family's house over the holidays before. My brother in law has the Xbox, the Game Cube, PS2 and all the Prior box's. He has the Voice/internet conections, etc. The money isn't that big of deal too. It's all relative. Hell $400 for that long of entertainment is Well worth it. I've paid alot more for alot less (And no Prostitute jokes here .. )

I just don't get the, If I buy it now I can pay $800 realistically or $400 at best.... but if I wait till Jan I can Pick them up for Under 400 clams...... MAybe I'm just getting more patient in my years

We're picking up ... Errrr or Santa I guess I hear rumors of..... Is dropping off a "cube" at out place. More so because it's "Kid Friendly-er" then PS2 or the Xb 360. Hopefully it plays well on what I'm hoping to get for this christmas... thats already in my garage

I tried to get an xbox 360 off of ebay about a week ago and just missed a couple at $525--lucky for me someone outbid me--the kids got the xbox and gamecube from yrs past--not sure what got into me to think they needed another game box---

Someone has already sued Microsoft over this new xbox. Apparently it is so high tech that it comes with cooling fans and this persons wasn't cooling properly and caught fire. Heard on the news this past Wednesday.

I think for the serious gamer its definatly something on there list to purchase, I saw the graphics from one on display and they are pretty sweet. You would have to have a pretty good TV to get the best out of it. My buddy left his PS2 here at my house couple yrs ago, I use it as a dvd player....lol.

2 of the kids in my nieghborhood have already burned theirs up too. They haven't got all the bugs worked out. I'm waiting for PS3 myself.

There's a guy at work that bought one and says they are the best thing going. This guy is a loser and spends most of his days off either whacking it or playing games on the computer, internet, or now the Xbox 360. Since I'm not one that is a gamer of any sort, I jokingly told him to sell the sucker on Ebay and he about came to tears....not like I was telling him to sell his fugly wife or anything. I guess if I could make a few hundered bucks on a game system I'd do it in a heartbeat but I'm going to stand in line competing with other nerds for a stupid system that will be less after X-mas. No way I would pay that much for a pure game machine....of course you can spend $1500 for a computer to surf the net and play some awesome games, but at least it has more uses.

Sue Microsoft b/c it burned up? No reason to sue - it is still under warranty. THey haven't been out long enough to be out of warranty. Now, if it burned your house down I can see the reason.

Some people just want to live vicariously (sp?) through their kids and want to make sure their kids are the 'coolest'. I like games just as much as the next person, but I at least know how to control it.

The XBOX 360 has since been recalled because of the cooling fan issue. PS3 is coming out soon and if it is as hyped as the xbox is, my boyfriend and I are reserving one at a few different stores, and then putting all but one of them on eBay. I think the most one of them went for was $16,000 on eBay. Some people just need lives. That is all there is to it. But if we can sell a couple of them for more than we bought them for, it will be easy. And there isnt a master list that is shared between stores for who already has a PS3 reserved, so we are looking at like three of four.
