I'm sure this has been asked here before so here it goes....

If I was to draw an antelope tag for example, can I hunt small game on that same license or do I need to purchase a separate small game permit? What about fishing? Are there separate fees involved?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you need a small game permit and a fishing license purchased separately

Wyoming doesn't actually have a "hunting license" like many other states do. What you would draw is an antelope tag (or deer, elk, etc.). In addition to that, you must purchase a Wyoming conservation stamp. The single conservation stamp covers you for the calendar year. Depending on what else you're interested in, you can also purchase a small game license, fishing license, bird license, or furbearer license. I do believe that the nonresident elk tag still automatically comes with a fishing license, but you'd have to verify that. As cking mentioned, coyotes are free. That's because they're on what's known here as the "predator list." Animals on that list can be hunted throughout the year with no license/tag. The list includes coyote, gray wolf (in the non-trophy area), red fox, porcupine, jackrabbit, raccoon, skunk, and stray cat. Hope this helps.

You can buy day fishing licenses $ 14/day. The one conservation stamp covers all your licenses for the year.

Thank you all for your responses. I have one more question..

What is a legal muzzleloader in Wyoming? Are scopes legal? What about sabot and pellet powder? Thanks

I abbreviated this from the WY Game and Fish Website to only include the muzzle loader section. Also, keep in mind that WY does not have a separate muzzle loader season, so you will be hunting muzzle loader at the same time as any ongoing rifle season.
Section 4. Firearms, muzzle-loadersand cartridges that are legal for the taking of big or trophy game animals.
(a) For the taking of bighorn sheep, elk, moose, mountain goat, black bear or grizzly bear by the use of a firearm, a hunter shall use:
(ii) Any muzzle-loading rifle or any muzzle- loading handgun of at least .40 caliber and firing an expanding point bullet using a charge of at least fifty (50) grains of black powder or its equivalent
(b) For the taking of antelope, deer, mountain lion, or gray wolf where designated as a trophy game animal, a hunter shall use:
(ii) Any muzzle-loading rifle or any muzzle-loading handgun of at least .40 caliber and firing an expanding point bullet using a charge of
at least fifty (50) grains of black powder or its equivalent

Hope that helps.
