Wyoming area 7

How many pref. points does it take for an out of state person to draw a bull tag for area 7? I put in for a point this year and will apply for a tag next year. I just gained access to a 20k acre alfalfa ranch and he said he was over run with elk after the first snow. I have never hunted that far north. ANy other info on area 7 will be helpful. Thanks!!

Even with 4 points (max points), the special tag was still a 58% draw and the general draw was 38% or so...

Since it is a premeir elk unit, I'm surprised the land owner doesn't have an outfitter in there.

I have hunted this unit a few times for cows and the guys that I know that have drawn the tag took about 4 yrs plus to draw the license. Im also suprised that the land owner doesnt have and outfitter on it.

The deer rights are leased out to an outfitter but the land owner likes to have his friends come in and hunt the elk. I just got lucky and fell into this deal. Thanks for the info!!
