I lost the remote to my Foxpro last year, to so I grabbed a hand call and I gotta tell you it's way more rewarding when the noise is made by you and not a speaker. It's not as easy as it looks but practice makes for excitement. Here are some pics of the more memorable stands....

I've killed 13 so far since November. Not bad considering I still suck at calling. I try to help the deer and all, but the main reason to go kill a song dog is because it's such a blast. Doesn't always end in success, but man its fun to call them in and let them have it......

The one in the first pic was shot at 9 yards. The one in the second pic was running away @ 250 yards and I got lucky but 3600fps with 55 grains of love it puts them down even with a bad shot placement. 3rd pic was up by Havre. I got to watch him make his way to me for 35 minutes. He would sit and smell, come closer, sit and smell, look and look.....It was fun to watch him for so long. Made me wonder how many times we give up and get up and have no idea one is still coming but just slowly.

The next pic I thought my stand was a bust. I get up to leave and there he it starring at me 120 yards away. The sun was in his eyes and I got a shot off before he could take off. The last pic was of the best looking coyotes I've ever seen. He was huge, too. Came in to 60 yards after female invite howl. Can't wait to get some more......

Nice pics! I'm jealous, im still waiting to nail my first one. And your not kidding about not being patient when they work slow. I gave up on a stand today after about 20 min and then let my lab out of the truck to stretch her legs. Sure enough, out jumps a coyote in the cattails not 100 yds from where I was earlier. And dammit if I didn't have my shotgun with me that second time.... Oh well, one of these days.

I tried calling coyotes just the other weekend, with out any luck. It was good to get out and I haven't hunted coyotes since I was a teenager back in the early 80's. Need to learn how to call better or something. Put on 5 miles and called about 5 different areas.
