Wide angle eye piece explanations

Never owned a spotter and need one. Can someone explain in detail how the wide angle eye pieces work compared to what just come standard on a spotter.

You will have a larger field of view (FOV) and that is always a bonus when using the spotter to look for critters VS inspecting one you already know is there and you want to get a better look. My favorite eye Piece (EP) is a 30X fixed power. It has super wide FOV and optimized for that magnification instead of a zoom EP that is not optimized for one magnification but is built for a wide range.
