Why is my bolt black and not Cerakote Tactical Gray on my New Howa KUIU?

I use the Imperial sizing wax which I've had for a long time. It's not sticky at all. I believe that Redding provides it now. I use it to lube the rear contact surface of the lugs. It's easy to wipe off too. Is Cerakote the same as something called Gun Kote? I had a revolver coated with Gun Kote once and it came off with acetone. Maybe try to clean the Cerakote off of the lugs.

Anymore I go stainless all the way.

Thanks man, finally a direct comparison. When did you purchase it?

I've had them both for like two 1/2 years,I got the cerakoted 7-08 first then the regular blued 6.5 man bun. Was lucky enough to take a couple of deer with them and I have no complaints with either one
