When to keep or replace a vehichle

I dunno...I have 350k+ on the 1998 Tacoma and 218k now on the 2001 F150 Offroad.
I could probably get what I paid for them, now. $15k for the Tacoma in 2000 & $14k for the Ford 10 yrs ago. Both had low miles then.
No rust.
Change your oil..........the trucks will most likely outlast me.

If the truck is mechanically sound, I would re-evaluate fixing rust. If rust is in cab like bottom of doors, I would look at replacing doors. If box over wheels, don't bother since bodies are usually gone. BUT, depending on truck model, you might be able to find a replacement body from several locations in non rust areas like AZ where take off bodies for utility bodies are sold.

My 2009 2500 Ram has 207K on 5.7 and runs perfect. Body rusting over body wheels which is only place. I do run it thru car wash during winter several times to get salt blasted off with unercarriage wash. I also do it early spring to wash it for summer etc. Little $$$ invested to help truck life a lot IMO.
