What ya doin in the heatwave?

On the radio yesterday they said that in eastern NC, the last week of January was the coldest on record in over a hundred years. Crazy, I had more snow than my cousin in MT, what a strange winter.

How do yall think it will affect the herds out west? Should be less winter kill but will the stored water in snow be too little to provide green up later in the year?

I don't live in Montana. They were burning in the Bighorn NF the other day, and they were burning in the Shoshone last week.
Open burning restrictions in Montana don't apply to USFS, as controlled burns are allowed by that agency.
Otherwise for the public, each county has a burn permit system requiring open burns to be registered prior to ignition. The open burning period is March through November.

'Thought perhaps you are a "Freeman", not recognizing authority and just deciding to burn ditches in "Land of Native Rams" ... wherever in the heck that is!

These native ewes and rams are around 40 minutes from me. Truck thermometer read 66 degrees driving home Sunday.
