Last month, just before going on our 25th anniversary trip to Hawaii, I used my Cabela's points and a couple of their gift cards and bought a pair of these binoculars.

The lanai of the condo that we stayed in overlooked a sparsely populated hillside and a 2 mile long beach. The island that we were on was literally overrun with Axis deer, and every morning I enjoyed using these binoculars to see deer and people on that beach.

We weren't on Oahu, and I never counted more than 5 people on that beach. With the range finding feature of theses binoculars, the closest end of that beach was 894 yards from our condo, and one house on the hillside was 2140 yards from our condo.

At night, deer would feed on the lawn around our condo, and I ranged them as close as 20 yards.

These binoculars are an inch longer and 9 ounces heavier than My Nikon Monarch 10x42 binos, but the range finding feature is quick and eliminates carrying a separate range finder.

I picked up a pair of these from midway on a deep one day discount. I am really enjoying them! For sub 700, they are a great piece of equipment. My normal binocular was/is bx-4 10x42 gen 1, I feel like optically, they are very very similar.

Any update on these or the Fury 5000 model? Planning to burn Cabelas points on one of these. Leaning toward the Fury as it appears to be smaller and better glass.

The fury’s are great. My primary Bino. Only qualifier is I don’t have any Swarovski so I’m sure there is better glass but I use my fury on a tripod and freehand and they are great.
