A very well made, well acted film that tries to explore too many moral questions.
It starts out in 1950s Germany, with a thirty something woman having a sexual affair with a fifteen year old boy. After a few months they part ways.
Fast forward 10 years and he finds out she was a Nazi death camp guard with the SS.
Should he come to her defense, does she want his help ?
Fast forward again, 20 years. Now she’s an old woman and needs his help again, does he owe her anything ?
Most women leave the theater wondering why they didn‘t help each other more?
Most men leave the theater wondering “Where the hell was Kate Winslet when I was 15” ?
Yea, it's a chick flick, but lots of bare T&A if you’re a Kate Winslet fan.
