Tell me how good you shoot your ultralight

Comparing my 7# .270 to 9+# 7RM: No recoil reduction on either. Both are capable of one MOA. I don't use a bipod. From sitting position, I can put the 7 into 2 MOA. The 270, 3-4 MOA. I feel more recoil anticipation when shooting the 270.

I have a Christensen Ridgeline FFT in 300 PRC which is pretty darn light and I originally didn't like it and didn't think it shot well. Come to find out a lot of it was me, now that I'm used to it I'm comfortable on steel well past 600.

Bought a blued T3x .270 from EuroOptic a few months ago. $549, less the $20 coupon code. With shipping, sales tax and the transfer fee it ended up at $648. Shot eight different factory boxed ammo. Four met the 3 shot sub moa guarantee. Groups ranged from 0.55” to 1.88” with all ammo. Best groups, Winchester Power Point 130gr. This is my third Tikka and I already had other stocks. Tried it in a B&C, ok but not great. Tried it in a Boyd’s and it was meh. Went back to the factory plastic, pistol grip and Limbsaver plus MT trigger spring. Best performance. My .308 also went back into the factory stock. The 7mag is in a B&C and that is a laser.

Probably about 8.5 maybe a little heavier. I have tikka superlight in 7mag with SM rings and leupold vx5 3-15 and it weights 8.5. Good gun

Maybe Euro Optic's listed spec on that rifle is off? That was a WAG but here's what i've getting for a bare rifle with what appears on it:

If listed weight is a half # low you're right, it'd be closer to 8.5.

Synthetic stock stainless Rem Model 7, w/ compact Burris 2 x7 and ultralight aluminum rings. 7mm-08. Around 6 1/2 pounds I think--20" thin barrel. I can get 3/4" groups with nosler partitions on the bench. Hard to hold steady without a rest though, have had a few shots that went a bit further than my aim while up in a tree stand with it.

Most of the hunting I do shots come pretty fast, there isn't time to set up a tripod or get a rest. My Remington Mt Rifle is heavier with scope with an even thinner 20" barrel, but it handles much better without a rest.
