I went to Belle Fourche last year on guided archery hunt. Had a good time but didn't see as many goats as in Wyoming. I killed a decent buck, but weather was cold and rainy so that didn't help. Meat was awesome!
Unless there is a significant change with tag numbers and a great fawn crop it will still take SD a few more years before I'd recommend it to anyone. This is coming from a SD resident. I've gone on trespass fee bowhunts on leftover tags the past two years and there is no comparison. Even Eastern Wyoming numbers are down but there 'down numbers' are about like the 'good' numbers I used to see in SD. Just my opinion.
