I friend of mine has been hurting for money and decided to sell a bunch of guns that she inherited from her uncle. Well, my wife gave me the clear that to help her out I could bring a few home. Almost all of them are from the 60's or earlier. The first to follow me home was a 10/22 that was old enough to have the metal trigger guard and butt plate. The other is a pre 64 model 70 feather light in 243. I had been lusting over that one for quite a while and when my wife gave me the go ahead, I jumped all over it. Pretty pumped to shoot it. The stock is beat up so that will probably be a spring project to refinish.
