Thanks guys. I think that's what I'll do then with the AA's. I've looked at the Goal 0 seriously and thanks to this thread I won't be ending up with gear that doesn't work that I've dragged 5 miles into the backcountry. I'll just stock up on batteries and leave some back at the truck as well just in case. Some things you just can't get around I guess.
