DU tv did a show on Rhode Island sea duck hunting today. If anyone has not tried this I whole heartedly reccomend it. I hunted sea ducks, at times we called 'em flying fish, for 35 plus yrs. back east. It can be fast and furious shooting. The weather plays a big part in sea duck hunting as do the tides. They can be tough to scratch down for some given that some shots canl be long along with the boat going up, down and each way. When I first started seas duck hunting the bag limit was 21 birds in aggregate daily. Now days the bag limit is down to five birds. These are fast flying, at times easy decoying, big bodied birds. The common eider can weigh as much as a lesser Canada. For table fare they are great when prepared by a true chef, such as my wife. I should have grown a preening gland on my backside I've eaten so many. Anyway, if you ge tan opportunity to tune into DU tv for this show go for it. If you want a fun and fast shooting hunt, try sea ducks. You will not be sorry. MTG
