Got my muzzleloader delivered this weekend. Now, I'm looking at scopes. I'm thinking a 3x9x40 is too much because I think the woods i'll be hunting Elk in are pretty dense, so maybe 100-150 yds for the longest possible shot.

Any recommendations on scopes?
 
Check out the Vortex Diamondback 1.75-5. Buddy of mine has one on an AR and is a nice scope for being under $200
 
i bought a nikon omega 250 bdc and its perfect on my muzzle loader,,,can get bdc dot chart to your muzz specks and all,it was a 1.5 to 5 power,perfect for muzz range where allowed.
