Since 2010, Leupold has been manufacturing Redfields to capture more market share. Leupold isn't going to put their name on an inferior product- they obviously don't want to damage their outstanding reputation. A few years back when Leupold first started making Redfields, they kept some of the old Redfield optics mixed with some cheaper quality materials... the past two years Leupold has stepped up and made their Redfield scopes much, much better. Redfields are very nice, as that is the range finder I own; however, even though I think the Redfields are an outstanding product.... I still have Leupold's on all my rifles.
I don't have their rifle scope, but I do own the rangefinder and 10X42 binos, and I think they are easily the best bang for the buck out there. I would expect the rifle scope to be much the same.
