I'm planning a hunt to PWS this May for black bear. We'll be leaving out of Seward and heading around to the PWS. This will be my first coastal black bear hunt. Don't know whether we'll stay on the boat or at my buddies cabin. I believe we are going to play that part my ear and see what happens. The question I have for you all is about hip boot. Can any of you recomend a brand of hip boots for me to purchase?

Here's what you need for what you'll be doing. They aren't fun to hike in, but they are tuff as heck and won't get ripped up on the rocks. Get the ones with the bob soles. If your going to be going up the mt just dump them at the beach (above the high tide mark) and throw on some hiking boots.

A pair of Extra Tuffs will work better for walking around on the boat though.

I've got a pair of Extra Tuffs. I learned real quick about those in my days commercial fishing.
