Public Land Hogs

I tried to get my buddy to float the river SE of Bedford to try and catch some hogs getting a drink but he said he heard banjos as we were looking for access/checking out the train tunnel.

Probably some of my kin pickin' those banjos.. Those are my old stomping grounds.

It sounds like I will be hunting public land for at least my first trip, since I will be traveling a pretty good ways. Then maybe while I'm in the area to hunt I could talk to some locals and go from there.

I would not hesitate to talk with some locals if in your shoes. You may be surprised how welcoming they can be.
