Looking for some advice.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what it would be like to live in Pinedale? Looking for any and all experiences. Haven't been there in a very long time and that was to just pass through.

Pinedale has all sorts of fishing and hunting opportunities.

There are a bunch of big cabins and homes, that may be a lot cheaper than the California dream boat aka Jackson.

I haven't heard too much bad about the area other than the up and down oil jobs.

I looked hard at moving there sight unseen when I was getting out of college about six years ago. Everything I could tell about it seemed amazing from an outdoor opportunity standpoint. I had an opportunity come up in Helena though that was too good to pass up.

Spend few days there every fall, like it a lot but not sure if I could move there. Great hunting and fishing good people for sure. My wife would not be happy with shopping choice. One year left bar in middle of night only thing sèen on walk back to hotel was a cow moose walking down the center of main street, no people or cars just a moose. With that being said I do enjoy wind river brewing companies beer with a ribeye sandwich. Be eating one next week or two hopefully....

It was a helluva place 15 years ago. Like a lot of boom towns, there's good & bad. Easily one of my favorite places on the planet though.

From what I have heard the billionaires from jackson are pushing the millionaires to Pinedale.

I hunt near Pinedale every year. Or - more accurately - I go with a group since we don't always get tags, but usually enough folks do. My buddy's family has had a cabin/ranch north of town for 100 years (they all live in Rock Springs and Green River now).

I personally love that part of the world. It has all the rocky mountain habitat zones, is sandwiched between several excellent mountain ranges, easy drives to others, all with sporting opportunities galore.

I have no idea on the economic situation - as mentioned, it seems the oil industry is on a yo-yo more often than not.

Spent a few days down there this summer. Seems like a great place. As others have mentioned, some amazing outdoor opportunities down there.

Thank you guys. Have an opportunity at a pretty stable job in the area but I don't think I'll be able to convince the wife to move that far away from family, even though everything about our careers and life would improve.
