My family will be spending 3 weeks in the West Phoenix area mid January through early February. Since work and school is virtual we are getting out the Midwest cold for a while.

My son and I are hoping to fit in a few walks for quail within an hour or so of Glendale if that is possible. Started some research and it seems like primarily it will be Gambel's without going to Southern Arizona. I have Onx and have been some looking at the public land in the area. Been looking at creek bed type areas. Is this on the right track? Is hunting within an hour of Glendale possible? Any other habitat types I should be looking for? Thanks for any input

Gambels, are what is out that way and they are in great supply this year. They like washes and shrubs nearby .
