Old ammo find

Was sorting through some of my dad's stuff this weekend and ran across this full box of 45-70. Torn between putting it back to save and running it through one of his 45-70's.

I have a few old boxes of 16 ga sitting on the shelf that remind me of when I was a kid.
They will prob stay there

Those old boxes were cool. I regret loosing a couple of 30-06 ones in a move several years back.

Use it to take a big game animal for your dad. That will be a memory you will appreciate as you get older.

Unless there is something unique about the cartridges I’d probably shoot them. Definitely save the box though. Up to you though.
