New Year New Guy

Thanks. A little context on part of a great year. Son notching his last ever youth doe tag (only allowed one/yr in ND). Next year we finally chase bucks!Snapchat-1717447795.jpg

Time I spend with my kids are far better than anything I can shoot or chase, although this year was an almost even tie.

I was able to fill my Once-in-a-lifetime ND moose tag.

I spent all summer working up a heavier load for my Model 99 in .300 Savage of my late Grandfather's. Turns out I didn't need it. Got it done with my bow. Snuck in on him napping in a treebelt. Slipped off my croc's and literally went in barefoot. Mohican' Sneakin' Style as Micheal Wadel used to say.

He wasn't near as big as some of the tanks taken along the northern border (much higher number's and better cover and tag's in the northen unit's). This tag was for M6 which is basically the bottom half on the state. I was able to kill him an hr away from where I live now and 10 min's away from the farm I grew up on. I'm still more than pleased with him.

Got my son on his first pheasant and daughter out for a few sit's and drives for her 1st youth doe tag but weren't able to connect. Still had a few laughs. She's not totally into hunting yet but likes shooting.
