New place to spring turkey hunt!

Looking to try a new state to turkey hunt. I live in PA. Hunted NY and WY for birds in the past. I want to hunt public ground and over the counter tag. Any suggestions on a bordering state to PA that would be a good pick?

Check out the THP youtube page. Write down everywhere they've hunted in the last 4 years, cross those areas out on a map, then you'll have a starting point.

I think you hit the sweet spot in terms of high bird numbers and abundance of public land on the neighboring state you’ve already hunted.

The last few years we hunted up there seem like the numbers were down and a lot of guys. I’m really thinking of trying Ohio or West Virginia

Elkhunter, I'm from Ohio and I would take a hard look at Virginia before coming to Ohio. ODNR is saying we had a good hatch last year. It seems like the birds where real spotty. One farm would have birds the next hardly any. We have had real good success hunting public ground in Virginia the last 5-6 years.
