Hey all,
Just bought a new coyote rifle. Bought a Remington with a thumbhole stock in .223 cal. I also put a 6x18 bushnell scope on it. I don't like the scope (first bushnell I've owned) so it will quickly get a Leupold in 6x18. Heres a pic of the rifle.

And first blood with it:

Hey Wyo, don't you mean a new "fox" gun? HA HA.....That's a nice looking setup you've got there. Watch out varmints........

T Bone,
Yeah this is my calling rifle. I just ordered a snipe pod for it also. I use a Foxpro call and that fox came in to pup in distress.

I've been looking at the Rem single shot myself, is that the same rifle? If it is, it seems that you don't have any problems with it? What about the scope didn't you like? I'm looking to set up a varmit rifle and like to hear all the info I can.

Thanks,Scott

Scott,
heck ya you can shoot it, its sweeeeeeeeeeet!

Schelmster,
Yeah its the single shot. One shot's all you need.....unless two or more coyotes come in??? :D In my dreams lol. I haven't had any problems with it yet, i love this rifle!

There are a couple reasons I don't like this scope. One thing is the variable at the front to make it clear. it goes from 30 yards all the way to infinite. The infinite option is suppose to make it clear at all ranges but thats not the case. What ever I shoot at I have estimate the distance and adjust it in the front. I have a leupold with the same options but when its on infinity its clear at all ranges so no adjustments are needed. I also don't like the big adjustment knobs on the top and the side. I want ones that are tapered off.
