Missed opportunity

Was hunting in a tripod overlooking some overgrown fields, found a really really nice 8 or 9 point buck with my binos. Got my rifle picked up and never found him in the scope, I seen a young doe but never seen the buck again not even with my binos. I assume he bedded down in the thick overgrowth. But I was highly upset, but sometimes it just bes like that.

Yeah those are the easiest to scare off
