Anybody have a smaller old wall tent gathering dust that they'd like to part with? Don't need anything very big, I usually hunt alone. I don't mind having to build a frame, fix some small holes, etc. I only have around $200 to spend.
If anyone has something laying around they'd be willing to part with, I'd greatly appreciate it! I'm in central MT but travel around most of the state for work occasionally.
Thanks!!

Check your local FB marketplace. That is where I have bought both of my used wall tents within the last year. It could be doable for that price for canvas only on a small 10x10 or 10x12 in rough shape.

Thanks, yeah I’ve been looking there too. Looking like I’m going to need to save up for awhile, not much in that price range. I saw one at a yard sale a couple years ago for 50 bucks and have been kicking myself ever since for not buying it!

I wanted one for ever and finally bought a small one (10x10) from a guy on FB marketplace in Cheyenne last fall and was really happy with it for a two man tent and I can set it up solo with an internal gram r.

I wanted a bigger one so bought the canvas only for a 14x16 this spring from a woman down alamosa way that sells them after she is done using them for a glamping business. Price was good. Now it just needs some patching, and I gotta buy the angle kit from Davis and then the conduit for the internal framer. Thing is huge. Should be comfortable for 4 guys to sleep I figure.

You might look into a smaller milltary GP style tent, something like a artic version. They are heavy and dark inside but can be effectively setup by one person and more weatherproof than conventional canvas. I spent one winter in one by Ely/Caliente NV and it held up great.

I see those on FB marketplace all the time here in CO for reasonable prices. What’s the GP stand for?

General Purpose. Some years ago I found a boy scout canvas tent in the classifieds. 8x10, one door in front with ties to close it, 2' high sidewalls. I bought it for $40, then took it to a canvas repair shop. They added a 2' width of canvas along every bottom edge making 4' sidewalls. Then conduit and a joints for an internal frame.
