Lever Action - 308, 7mm-08 or Similar

Looking to purchase a lever action rifle to be my main deer/ antelope gun. I am open to different calibers and manufacturers, but I am hoping for 308, 7mm-08 or 270.

Sounds like a BLR is in your future. Get one, get it to a good gunsmith and have the trigger done- I love mine in .308

Lever guns! BLR will offer new production in you chamberings, as will Henry. Marlin 336 can be had in Marlin 308mx, essentially equaling 308 win ballistics. None of those would be a match for a well-preserved Savage 99 in 250 Savage, 300 Savage; or 7-08HT, 284 or 308 win (far rarer), IMO.

I have been drooling over them - I have been searching around and not finding many available so I thought I would throw it out here. Something about a level gun that just seems right.

What a good looking gun! I have not heard of half the calibers that you referenced - off to the search engine and down a rabbit hole!
