I’m wondering if anyone has any information on whether N.Y. is going to get the lead based bullet ban in this year?
Is it going to happen?
When should we know for sure for the 2025 fall season?
Is this something that we have to worry about for this year?
Any information on would be greatly appreciated

If they do I’d like to be prepared for it. Hopefully they leave it up to us to decide on our own….

I haven't heard anything about the bullets. But if its anything like the split shots for fishing, you cannot buy them in NY. I can though bring mine from PA to use. It could be the same where the sale is prohibited not so much the use?

I haven't heard about it. NYS was offering up to $60 dollars last year to switch to lead free, but if they are going to use the predatory birds as their reason to make us switch, they've lost their minds. That's the reasoning they offered the cash. We have more eagles, owls, hawks and vultures than we've had since the 50s.

I've got "hundreds" of projectiles and loaded rounds, and won't be switching to all copper until I've worked through those.

The last time it came up, NYBHA was pretty vocal against it. I haven’t heard anything lately…. That said, it will likely happen eventually. I’ve made the choice to go lead-free voluntarily. I like the copper bullets a lot
Yeah, I am thinking it will happen eventually as well.
I would just like to be ahead of the game if/when it does.
Hopefully by the end of this summer I’ll be able to hunt lead free if I decide or N.Y. decides for me, this season.
