Catching a lot of bluegill lately along with some nice perch and some crappie. The last few days of summer are always good fishing.

Worms or lures? I did a river kayaking-fly fishing trip with my son a couple weeks ago and they were hitting poppers almost like it was the second week in May.

I don't think I've caught bluegills since I was a kid. Even with the passing of time and fish growing the way they do in your memory, I don't think they were that big. Looks like a lot of fun!

They are my favorite. My dad and I started out catching them when I was just little. I still take my boys. Pound for pound the best fighting fish out there, besides maybe smallmouth.
