I've heard the meat is iffy, but people also say the same about antelope, which is a delicacy. What do you guys think?

They are a little oily. We make poor mans lobster with them. It is delicious!

There is absolutely nothing that is more fun to catch through the ice than a lake trout. They are one of my all-time favorite fish to eat. I’ve had some from Lake Michigan that were pretty bad but I’ll take an inland laker over a walleye any day of the week. When they are fresh we boil in saltwater and dip in butter. They are also delicious baked or grilled.

They're so much fun to catch. We smoke them or marinate and grill them and have good luck with both.

Love lakers. Great grilled or baked. I've heard people say that they are not good eating, no clue what those folks are talking about.....
