Kotzebue Caribou

My hunting partner and I are "discussing" booking a drop camp caribou hunt in 2022 out of Kotzebue. Anybody have any experience doing this?

GoHunt is showing an 83% success rate, and an acquaintance recommended Golden Eagle Outfitters. It seems like this may be about the most affordable Caribou hunt with a great success rate.

I've done this hunt a couple times, did it as a float hunt too. Fun adventure. I used a different transporter but heard good reviews of Golden Eagle. Can't comment on success rates. I was always successful but floated past other camps that didn't see a single caribou the entire trip. Sometimes caribou are around for a few days, sometimes they're around one day, sometimes they're just not there, but one guarantee is they're always moving. Take a pack rod, the dolly / char fishing is incredible. Good luck.
