Well there arent many guys here from Cali, but I wanted to share with all that the opener is only around 6 hours away. I have joined a private club that holds some awesome turkey and large blacktail deer. Some of the scouting in the previous weeks has really turned me onto hunting in this state. I guess its all the acorns that they eat, because some of the beards and spurs I have been seeing are just awesome !hump I took some pics last weekend of a huge tom that was under an oak tree but the shade left for a crappy pic. This guy is just one section over from my spot and hopefully the guy hunting there will scare the crap out of him and he will come my way. Or I can call him over to one HOT hen. The club has 50k acres and they divide the property into sections so that each hunter has a nice hunk of land. NO crowding here. That is the number 1 reason I joined.
I have the camera packed and hopefully I can post some pics of a great looking tom. Wish me luck.
