I was blessed on the upland opener today by having my dad and my best buddy join me. It's been probably over a decade since the last time I picked up a shotgun with my dad and my friend hasn't shot at a bird since he was a teenager. While we were trooping through the bluffs chasing partridge and grouse I realized the joys of hunting aren't always in the pursuit of the game but many times the people you spend time with afield. That rang true today getting to hunt with the guy that taught me how to chase birds and putting a friend on some birds at the same time. Big Fin's motto of Hunt While you Can, When You Can really was in full swing. Hope everyone else had a good day afield as well! .
