I will be taking that training probably next year, so can't help you this...
Sorry Jeff...

Be who you are. If you try to play a game, it will bite you in the butt later. Be honest and don't take too much time with your answers. Show confidence in yourself and in your ability to do the job. Good Luck..

How to handle hostility - listen, let the other person vent. Nod your head or otherwise acknowledge you are listening. When they bgin to wind down, apologize by saying something like "I'm sorry this has happened." (That way you are not saying or admitting that you screwed up - just that you are sorry for the problem.) Then see what can be done to fix the problem and if the other person is a customer, how you can turn things around to a positive to keep the customer coming back.

Alot of companies are now using Targeted Selection, they ask questions then look for a "STAR"(situation, task, action and resolution) then they look to see how your response fits with the business unit

Does anyone on the site work in the human resource area ?

I have a telephone interview for a position outside of New Zealand, which leads to a video conference interview, blah blah.

I have been told the intial interview is with a human resource officer and an operations superintendant, now the operations questions will be a piece of cake its what I do but have been told I will get stupid questions like

How do you handle hostility,

Are you a team player and show an example of that

What initatives whave you promulgated etc etc

are there any correct answers they are looking for?? or do I just wing it.
