I was gifted an Insta360 and messed with it during my turkey season.

It’s pretty easy to set up, download the app, and operate.

Using the 360 view is very cool for in the blind shots, over head tree stand shots, or close kill shots.

Video 1 I messed up. I had too much light coming in the blind and it was overpowering the shot.

One thing to note. Video one was in full 360 mode. After the shot I was able to pick the area I wanted to get the shot from and focus on that. One thing you’ll see though is that video comes out smaller.

Video two I had it only on 180 mode where it only used one camera. Much larger picture view.

Video two was a lot better. I have two versions to show. The one the app produces and what I get if I download it to my computer.

App produced:

Downloaded to the computer:

I like the app produced video because it gets a fairly decent shot of what’s going on.

The fish eye view downloaded to the computer shows much more inside, but I hate how extreme the “fish eye” is.

Personally I’ll probably be using this for up close and personal shots.

I did some test shooting with it tucked in my marsupial pack. I do a lot of ground hunting and I have a feeling I can get some neat up close and personal shots of deer getting killed.

If anyone else has one and has any tips please let me know.

If you have any questions I can try my best to answer.
