Idaho unit 37A

A friend of mine just drew an elk tag for unit 37a in the second drawing. I don't know much about the unit other than it is steep nasty country. The harvest stats on the web site look pretty decent. The season is October 1-24. I am going to be tagging along to see if I can help him get his first elk. If anyone has some tips or pointers for the unit it would be appreciated. We will get at least one scouting trip in before season opens. Thanks for any help.

The only pointer is to scout. It sounds like he got one of the better tags available in the second draw, I really like that country. Should be a great hunt!!
