I have a ruger blackhawk 44 magnum that has a lot of sentimental value but the original grips were cracked and falling apart. I bought a pair of hogue grips but just didn’t like them so I got a piece of walnut and carved my own. They’re definitely not perfect but I’m pretty happy with the way they turned out for my first try.

Those turned out very nice! I have thought about trying that myself but haven't got around to it. Mine wouldn't look that good I'm sure. Thanks for sharing!

Nothing too complicated, I just cut out the general shape with a jigsaw and did all the rest of the shaping with a dremel.
I am not allowed around a dremel...🤔 I can tie flies great but my woodworking skills stop at chainsaw. I ONCE cleaned up a wood stock channel with dremel.
