Hey Jim, when you see Angus Thuermer's ph. # pop up on caller ID, DON'T TAKE THE CALL

“ One of ranchers’ concerns, Magagna said, is that people are now free to go to public land that’s enmeshed in private ranches, traipsing nearer private property.”

When I am on public property, how near to private property am I allowed to traipse?

Not so near that you might be mistaken for galavanting. Or God forbid sauntering.

I try to put myself in the shoes of these guys, and I just can’t get there. If they’re so worried about damage to their land from the peasants wanting to corner cross legally, wouldn’t the cheapest thing be a gate at the corner? What they’re worried about, clearly, is loss of exclusivity & perceived reduction of property value.

Jim's like a fish out of water gasping for air.

I'll traipse as close to private property as I damn well please. He's right about 1 thing though - there'll be some 2 legged predators roaming around places he's not used to seeing them.

So I am unclear, can we cavort about close to the private or not? Not sure where cavorting differs from traipsing. Need some legal help here.
Pretty sure you can full on canoodle near pvt or even do hot yoga right at the boundary if you want.

What we need is a flash mob of traipsers to show up.
