Hi all, I have been very busy and haven't been in here for a while but thought you may like to hear how my oldest son missed out on a nice 8 point. I took him and my 18 year old out behind a friends house who said that have been seeing a big body 8 point out there in the late afternoons. I set my 18 YO up in a ground blind about 100 yards from the house next to a fallen tree. Jon and I went about 100 yards down a dry creek bed. He sat up on one side and I on the other about 30 yards apart so I could vidio the hunt. Jarrod has some action and get snorted at by a few deer 2 4points and a doe but about 30 min's later I hear a crash and this buck he would easly dress out 200 pounds. and an avg. 125 class rack comes bouncing down behind the shed and my side of the dry creek bed. I get the camra and look over at john, he's nodded off , good thing for full body straps, I call him 3 or 4 times about that time the buck figures out that he needed to get out of there and John opens his eyes only to see the buck prance right under him and off into the thickets. Later when we all gathered Jarrod said to us , You shoul have seen it , he was hugh , he jumped over the tree I was sitting behind and was looking at me at 5 yards and off he went , I didn't here him coming and all of a sudden there he was. I took a shot but he was gone so fast. I said ya but listen to what your brother was doing. LOL I live for the hunts with my son's but this has got to take the cake for stories told to there kids someday.
