I've started looking for a good gun safe now that the little one is tearing the house apart. I'm hoping to stay under $800 if possible. The store here in town only has Brownings and Cannons. Does anyone have any good or bad experiences with these or any other brands that they'd like to share.

Just bought a browning 6 weeks ago. My suggestion is get one that will hold about 10 more guns than you have. They never hold as much as they say. Look at the browning 23 cubic foot one. It also has a nice door for extra guns and accesories. Get the digital keypad. Even the guys that work at the stores can't open the ones with dials the first time. You never know when you might need a gun in a hurry. Just like any other equipment you buy, get the best you can afford.

I've owned a Fort Knox for seven or eight years--great safe and no complaints!
